About Us
HAWC is a not for profit organization dedicated to enriching the community and the lives of club members. The HAWC contributes resources – whether time, money, or just a few extra hands – to a variety of community events and causes and offers members the ability to participate in all kinds of projects and activities while sharing the spirit of teamwork and community involvement.

Examples of HAWC Community Service
☺Hamburg Public Library Fashion Show - HAWC finds individuals to model fashions and also assists with selling tickets.
☺Hamburg Area School District Scholarships - HAWC awards a $500 scholarship to 2 (two) graduating Hamburg High School students.
☺Families Helping Families Dinner - In conjunction with the First UCC Church, HaWC manages the Families Helping Families Dinner every December. Families are chosen through the Salvation Army to attend a Holiday dinner free of charge. During the past 3 years, the American House Hotel (located at 4th and State Streets in Hamburg) has volunteered to prepare and host the dinner.
☺Hamburg Jaycees King Frost Parade Donation - Each year, the HAWC makes a monetary donation to help support Hamburg’s King Frost Parade.
☺Needy Family Holiday Donation - HAWC finds a Needy Family through the help of the guidance counselor at a local school and donates either funds or needed items to help the family through the Holiday Season.
☺Operation Enduring Freedom - HAWC collected over $1,300 at the 2008 King Frost Parade to help defer Operation Enduring Freedom shipping costs overseas. ☺Hamburg Public Library Book Dedication- Throughout the year books are purchased from the Hamburg Public Library in honor of a child that was born to a HAWC club member. Books have also been purchased in honor of non HAWC members in certain instances.
