About Us
HAWC is a not for profit organization dedicated to enriching the community and the lives of club members. The HAWC contributes resources – whether time, money, or just a few extra hands – to a variety of community events and causes and offers members the ability to participate in all kinds of projects and activities while sharing the spirit of teamwork and community involvement.
2010 Update
The Hamburg Area Woman's Club (HAWC) filed an Articles of Incorporation with the Pennsylvania Department of State Corporation Bureau in May 2010. The HAWC has also filed a Form 1023 with the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS has accepted the HAWC's Form 1023 and has determined that the the HAWC is exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and has classified the HAWC as a Public Charity under section 509(a)(2) of the Code. Contributions to the HAWC are deductible under section 170 of the Code.
